Find me in the Museum
Don’t just look at me -
Find me.
Walk into that dark alley
And no
You won’t die from claustrophobia
Trust me
I’m just behind those velvet ropes and dim lights.
I know
Me. A crumbling piece of art dying again
Sinking slowly inside
My body, when alive was spread eagle for life
Hugs. Whispers. Gifts. Problems.
I was there always
Wanting to solve them.
For you. And her. And him.
For them and it.
I sucked the world into me
An amoebic reaction I knew was love
For I knew I won’t die then,
A spit mark on all the lives forever
I’ll be there
The woman who asked for some
Every time
As she hollowed out in return.
